PETITION from the People of Syria to the United States of America, with Great Respect We, the Peaceful Citizens of Syria, are sending this PETITION to the United States of America to explain our situation and hopefully to arrive at a better understanding. As you know, Syria has been since pre-modern times, our region is known as the “Cradle of Civilization”, going back to the Paleolithic era (c.800,000 BCE). A complete child’s skeleton was found in its original burial state 400 km north of Damascus. The oldest written alphabet in the world originated here. Now, August 26, 2013, the US Navy is preparing to attack our beloved nation, waiting for orders to attack from the Commander in Chief, President Barack Obama. Four US Navy ships as well as submarines, armed with cruise missiles, have been provided with lists of possible targets to launch their missiles at as soon as the green light is given. The World has not forgotten the very painful results of the United States attack and occupation of our sister state Iraq, the result of which the infrastructure was destroyed, 1,455,590 Iraqis died, 4,801 US Military Personnel died, one half million Iraqi children were orphaned and many Iraqi babies are now born with horrible birth defects. We, the Peaceful Citizens of Syria, are asking that the United States of America make every possible effort to stop such deadly violence and death tolls from being duplicated here in our beloved nation, which will crush our economy, destroy our families and our many ancient treasures, which are a gift to all of mankind.
