Simpson Thursday, June 12th, 2014 Liberty Lovers, brillig/debt_clock: Every American Citizen Now Owes The (federal) State $55,147. “We do not move forward by curtailing people’s liberty because we are afraid of what they may do or say.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt Amendment X To America’s Constitution keeps federal authority in check. It stops federal officials from imposing legislation, taxation, and regulation willy-nilly on America’s citizens, commonwealths, and states. Amendment X To America’s Constitution keeps power from getting concentrated in hands of either a well-intended or tyrannous few. Preventing concentrated power, however, cant happen unless We, Sovereign American People prevent it. Amendment X Is An anathema to ambitious politicians and elected officials who believe they should have power to control people’s lives for their own good - or someone else’s good. Amendment X has absolutely no clout, however, if ordinary American citizens do not demand it be upheld or uphold it by force, if need be. “The contest, for ages, has been to rescue Liberty from the grasp of executive power.” ~ Daniel Webster No Constitution, No Amendment to any Constitution ever took up arms to defend itself, or defend people it represented. Power-craving authorities, well-intended or not, look to consolidate their legislative arsenal to break down resistance. Their deleterious effect is stopped by redistributing their authority, not by hoping elections will deliver benign despots. People Intending To Live In Liberty do not allow legislators – or other public officials within These United States of America, to cause any citizen to be drawn into an obligation to assume responsibility for public debt for reasons other than to defend these United States. They protect their security with wolverine-like ferocity. Stop and Think It’s your property, not “State” property.
