*PLANTING OF THE LORD** **“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified” Isaiah 61:3** God will always be steps ahead of the devil in all things. By the time Haman was plotting to destroy all Jews he had no idea that God had planted a spokesperson in the corridor of power. It took a little prodding from Mordecai, and Esther was ready for her interventionist program. In the story of Joseph it can be deduced also that God actually planted him in Egypt ahead of the time of global famine to cater for His people. /“He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant” /(Psalm 105:17). Even though Joseph got to Egypt almost by default it was God’s way of raising a deliverer for His people against the day of trouble. Too many times we come across believers who are passive or totally uninterested in corridor of power. Imagine if Joseph was not in charge of the economy in Egypt? The children of Jacob could have perished through hunger. Again, imagine if there was no Esther in the palace? Haman would have had a field day destroying the people of God. Not only must believers develop interest in leadership at all levels, political leadership inclusive, they must know that God delights to have representatives in all fields for the advancement of His program. Finally, begin at where you are presently: you are not there by accident; you are planted there by God; and there is a reason for it. Have you found the reason? *FURTHER STUDY:* 1 KINGS 18:1-13 *PRAYER:* Holy Spirit, open my eyes to see the reason why God allowed me to be in my current position
