PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME, one of my contacts shared this.... i could not wanr him due to a sudden power outage, hope he reads this. i think there should be laws to prevent idiotic bloggers to post this kind of bullshit... I dont mean to complain about the efficiency of this method, if the room is small and well insulated a small candle will keep it warm.... still this design has a huge flaw: the amount of oxygen provided to the flame is low.... the room itself is small and poorly ventilated (in order to warm up the room he ought not to open the window and shut the door off). Guess what do you get when u have an incomplete combustion? Radicals (bad for lungs and thatll leave dark stains in the ceiling) and Carbon Monoxide (which is LETHAL). It goes without a sayin that I suggest to not use this method at all, lest you still want to try it, please keep in mind to keep the heater at least 1 meter from the floor as CO2 is heavier than air and will concentrate on the floor thus furtherly reducing the amount of Oxygen avaiable for the combustion. Also doing so wont reduce the heating efficiency by much because, with such design, 3/4 of the heating comes with radiation not convention (he pointed out that lots of hot air comes out the pot hole but did not mention its the pot itself that heats the room).
