Buddy was found by a Good Samaritan, hurt and unable to walk. They picked him up and took him to the local shelter, hoping that his owners would come for him. No one came for him and with no options other than Euthanasia, the shelter made a plea for rescue. He was just too sweet and loving to die. We knew he had injuries that would require vet care, and even though our resources were stretched thin, we looked at his sweet face and had to save him. His injuries were far more extensive than we thought. He needed orthopedic surgery to both his hind legs and his front leg has nerve damage so he will need to wear a brace for support. He has had 2 surgeries to fix one of his legs but he will need 3-4 more surgeries so he can live a life without pain Buddy is very lucky he has a few guardian angels to watch over him…Dagmar who would visit him every day at the vet while he was there and Bob D. who took Buddy home to foster and took him to one of the best Orthopedic surgeons in the country, Dr. Holsworth at VMSG, to ensure that he would get the very best diagnosis.
