PLEASE SHARE River is a very special resident here at AFA. She was originally dumped out in the middle of nowhere to fend for herself. The people who found her did the very best that they could to take care of her when they had no shelter, running water or electricity for themselves. She lived outside with them until the winter became brutal and they reached out for help. When River came to AFA we discovered she had heart worm and needed treatment and recovery time. She has been with us for many months and as the days go on she is getting more and more anxious here in her cage. She trembles uncontrollably some days. We do all we can to get her outside away from the noise and chaos but she needs a forever home. River has to be an only dog and definitely no cats. She will do well with some training and lots of LOVE! Please stop in to meet her!
