PLEASE read this...As many of you know, last year I went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. To use the words life changing doesnt do it justice. But I have a memory that clearly stands out to me... It was a hot day... HOT.. And we were in a sugar cane village playing with these beautiful children. And this little girl pulled me to our van. She knew that these missionaries had all the water we could want. Cold, clean water all packed up nicely on our bus. When we got hot we could sneak away for a refreshing drink. And she looked at me and grabbed her throat and was telling me how thirsty she was. She put her finger to her lips and said she would be quiet if I could just give her a little bit of water.... Conviction. My heart broke. Jesus called me there to love them. Not just tell them. But show them. The verse was like screaming in my ears when I was Thirsty, did you give me something to drink? Loving people and showing them Jesus with the simple act of giving a drink of water. These people dont event have water. Now hear is where you come in. I know not everyone is called to the mission field of a foreign land. I know that everyone doesnt have the financial means to go on an expensive mission trip. But you can still help. I am personally asking for your help. Many of you I will personally ask to your face. But this next summer we are going back to the Dominican Republic but this time we are placing 10 water filtration systems in their country. Giving whole villages clean water!!! A water filtration system is $200, thats it! We are putting in 10 so we need to raise $2000. We can do that! I am asking you to please log in and donate anything... Even $10 will help.
