POLLO - LIFELINE DOG RESCUE Wanted to share a few pictures and a story from one of the visits so far this morning. Pollo showed me her pretty green eyes (only took a pic of one). She was resting very comfortably as you can see in picture #2 with the Weim puff they get when they are relaxed and satisfied. Pic #3 shows her gorgeous body getting our gentle touch. She was extremely responsive this morning about 30 minutes into the visit. She ate for me, drank some water for me, and then...wait for it...I got nose licks :) After another 10 or 15 minutes of me telling her it was time for me to leave so the amazing techs didnt have to step over me anymore, after a few gentle kisses to her, she stood up and looked at us. YES. SHE STOOD UP. Obviously, our visit lasted another 20 minutes until the tech gave her her pain med/inflammatory med in a chewable tablet that, yes, she chewed on her own! They have decreased her pain meds as of last night to prepare her for her anesthesia tomorrow for her surgery. We, of course, will update you after her surgery. This just made my whole entire day worth it. I did not get pictures of this as the last thing on my mind was my phone or my camera. My heart was skipping beats, and after she got comfortable in a new position, I almost felt like skipping all the way home! I just really wanted everyone to start forgetting the images that were and start looking at the images that are and will be. Much love to everyone! Have a blessed day
