Thayer Couple to Address Campaign for Liberty on Self-Reliance Issues Mike and Deb Slack of rural Thayer will speak to the Howell County Campaign for Liberty group at Chin’s Garden restaurant at 7 pm ***Thursday, August 15 *** in West Plains. The topic will be an explanation of Ozarks Self Reliant Living University, free heritage studies classes offered monthly in West Plains, Willow Springs and Koshkonong covering topics such as gardening, canning, freezing and dehydrating, soap making, cheese making, herb ology and disaster preparedness. Campaign for Liberty is a group promoting freedom, protection of constitutional rights and honesty in government. Which meets the third Thursday of each month. Those wishing to eat are asked to arrive at 6 pm. The meeting begins at 7 pm. Campaign for Liberty is one of several Missouri and Arkansas organizations which helped to defeat the White River Blueway, the subject of a recent Congressional Field Hearing in West Plains.
