PORT AUTHORITY’S DEIS ON CROSS HARBOR FREIGHT PROGRAM AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING AT MAIN LIBRARY; FIVE CORNERS & GREENVILLE BRANCHES JERSEY CITY, N.J. November 13, 2014 – The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ) has sent the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) on the Cross Harbor Freight Program to the Reference Department (2nd Floor) at the Main Library (472 Jersey Avenue) in Jersey City, and two of its nine branches – Five Corners (678 Newark Avenue) and Greenville (1841 Kennedy Boulevard) – for viewing by the public. Comments are encouraged by the public, interested individuals and organizations, and Federal, State, and local agencies by the PANYNJ and its partner, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), for their planning of a Tier 1 Environmental Impact Statement, of which currently is in draft form. Two other places in Jersey City to view the Draft Environmental Impact Statement are: City Clerk, City of Jersey City, 280 Grove Street, Jersey City; and Hudson County Economic Development Corporation, 830 Bergen Avenue, Jersey City. All comments are to be made by February 27, 2015, and can be done in four ways: Verbally or in writing at the public hearings; Via e-mail, crossharborstudy@ingroupinc with “Tier 1 DEIS Comment” in the Subject line; Via website, crossharborstudy; and Via mail, Cross Harbor Freight Program, c/o InGroup Inc., P.O. Box 206, Midland Park, N.J. 07432.
