POSITION Metallurgical Plant Boilermaker GRADING C2 OPERATIONS Modder East Operations REFERENCE No IE59-08-14 QUALIFYING CRITERIA Applicants will be required to proof and demonstrate sound knowledge, education and experience in the following : Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualification Trade Test : Boilermaker- preferably section 13 MS Office with emphasis on excel and word processing Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages Independent judgment, initiative and interpersonal communication skills are required 5-7 years’ previous experience in a gold plant, trackless mining or industrialized environment Expert knowledge of gold plant engineering functions including but not limited to : plant maintenance, conveyor belts, crushers, pumps, pipe developing, fitting and any other equipment within the gold plant Sound knowledge of fabrication skills and ability to interpret engineering fabrication, construction drawings and erections South African citizenship Clear Criminal Record Note This position will require the successful candidate to be declared fit by our OHP BRIEF OUTLINE OF DUTIES A brief outline of duties will include, but will not be limited to the following : Work a rotation of shifts Quality control, best practices and functional support within a gold plant- Engineering/ boilermaking section Specialized knowledge to analyze and solve complex problems Inspect, disassemble, re-assemble, construct and repair all components of boilermaker systems and associated mechanical equipment Responsible for pipe developing and fitting thereof Troubleshooting and detailed fault analysis Manage and maintain in area of responsibility in accordance with prescribed standards and practices Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto : “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely” Please Submit Applications with Reference No IE59-08-14 clearly quoted on your application or in the subject line of eMail applications NO application will be received by the HR Officers in person Internal application forms are available at the Time and Attendance office or directly from the Recruitment offices Your Head of Department needs to be aware and sign off on your application form.
