PREMIUM OLDENBURG COLT BY AMPERE Avalon was awarded the coveted Foal Premium at his Oldenburg inspection where the inspectors praised his modern frame, correct conformation, expressive paces and his super friendly temperament. DAM: His mother Linguistic (pictured loose in the video) was the top dressage 3YO at her Futurity, she then enjoyed a brief but successful career under saddle with Grand Prix rider Anna Ross Davies before being retained for breeding. To date she has produced 100% Premium foals, but it is her calm and trainable temperament that seems to be most consistently passed on. Her father is Edward Gals former Grand Prix horse Lingh, and her dam sire is Metall, sire of Olympic Team medallist Uthopia. SIRE: Avalon’s father Ampère (pictured under saddle on the video) first caught attention as the most expensive foal sold at the Borculo foal auction. He was champion of the KWPN licensing and of his 70-day performance test with the highest scores awarded to that date. He earned 8 for his walk, 9 for his trot, 9.5 for his canter, and 9’s for rideability and talent as a dressage horse. He has then gone on to set more records as a sire, siring the most expensive dressage foal ever sold at auction, a Colt who sold for €200,000. Avalon is priced at £5000, but we are downsizing our stud due to family ill health and are open to sensible offers to the right home.
