PRIMUS INTER PARES ! My 12 year old is studying Latin ...so for study time today, we discussed this = The first among equals . Let me add here that , although the British use this to explain the Prime ministers relationship to other members of the cabinet, I dont think that Winston Churchill(hm..nice cigar), Margaret Thatcher and perhaps others actually thought of themselves as PRIMUS INTER PARES ...lol Neither did the Romans, for the rulers had complete power over who died and who lived ..Hahahah . I just listened to Kwame Clements speech. I appreciate how keen he is on educating the listeners (Liberians masses). He spoke in the language of the people. After All...in popular politics , its the people you are supposed to be addressing not the your intellectual opponents. This is why campaign politics in the USA is VERY POPULAR ...as compared to that of the United Kingdom. The USA presidents are reputed for their talent of speaking directly to the people....passionately. Obama has now raised the bar ...of coarse. David Cameron vowed to emulate the USA , so as to insight and involve the British commoners even more. The message I took away from this speech , will be one that I would have preached myself. A message of : -SPREADING THE WEALTH, -EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL BOARDS -FARMING -ERADICATING economic POVERTY -limit of PRESIDENTS TERM -Liberians are HARD WORKING people..not lazy. @Kwame admits that Liberia does not need ONE MAN/WOMAN to solve its problems overnight! Ps: @Kwame does not appear on the ANC forum just for chit chat sake. BUT ONE THING IVE OBSERVED ...as I listen keenly to his speeches...HE TAKES HEED FROM ALL OF OUR COMMENTS AND REMARKS. HE LISTENS. THE PEOPLE WILL ELECT THEIR LEADER. #isuzyK
