PS. My husbands art, one of his first watercolors, was selected by a poet For the 3rd annual poetry, jazz and art night at the Sacramento Fine Art Center. Years ago some insisted it was only Visual Art at SFAC but I like the way they have expanded and enriched the center to foster the integration of all the arts! Garys piece was called, Gotta Dance Gotta Dance It was of Cranes. He had his own elaborate thoughts about it. The poet who chose his work saw them as Herons and had his own creative response . My only regret was that they acknowledged verbally every artist chosen even those not in attendance, But neglected to have my hubby stand. No matter how old or self-assured you are, it is still so nice to be acknowledged. I wanted to jump up and say Hes right here in the special section reserved for chosen artists! But knew he would not appreciate my exuberance. He did not care and has a way of unassumingly melting into the woodwork......... but I had a twinge of regret that he was overlooked by the poet and the mc. Just a twinge....I was happy and fulfilled by two of the amazing poets and got more than my $$$$$ worth!
