PSE crews will continue working into the evening and overnight as - TopicsExpress

PSE crews will continue working into the evening and overnight as conditions allow to assess and repair damage from 24 hours of strong winds that started Tuesday morning. Crews made steady progress throughout Wednesday repairing tree and pole damage to transmission lines; these lines serve large numbers of customers and are priority for restoration. However, a wind advisory remains in effect for the Cascade foothills until late Thursday morning and could spark additional outages. As of 7:00 p.m., crews have restored power to nearly 197,000 PSE customers. Around 22,000 customers remain without power. We’re working to get power restored for customers as quickly as possible and most should be restored today and into Thursday. However, some customers may be without power longer due to the damage that has already occurred or if high winds pick back up overnight. We have brought in crews from Canada, Oregon and Eastern Washington to support PSE crews. https://flickr/photos/pugetsoundenergy/15775248041/
