PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT COMMODITY FOOD TO BE DISTRIBUTED The Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council, in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture, will be distributing commodity foods for the recipients of Hornbeak and Samburg on October 7th, 2014 @ the Hornbeak City Hall, from 9am-12pm. Distribution for the recipients of Troy and Obion will be on October 8th @ the Community Center in Obion from 9am -12 pm. Distribution for Union City, South Fulton and Kenton recipients will be on October 9th, from 9am – 12 pm @ our office on 1015 East College st in Union City, Tn. You must have your Orange Card. If you have not yet re-certified, you may do so on the day of distribution. Please bring proper proof of income for everyone in your household. Please be aware that due to a shortage of inventory of some food that we have on hand, you may not receive the same number of items as someone else in the event a good item runs out. Also, anyone receiving aid from one of the following programs is eligible for receiving aid from one of the following programs is eligible for USDA commodities : Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Formerly known as Food Stamps), Families First, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or documented residence in public housing.
