Page 1 of 4 friend or foe 1107 Hello My name is Roe; and for those who do not know me; I am a person who loves to journal. I often wake up in the wee hours of the morning; with thoughts that I just have to put in writing! This can be the reason why; I am not a morning person. I can remember a time when my feelings were hurt by a dear friend and I was consumed with all kinds of junk. I went to sleep and awoke around 3 in the morn heavy hearted I started to write. Time spent in the dark of night can sometimes be quite revealing as the Holy Spirit began to gently rebuke me; and show me the err of my ways. I ask that you would listen to me closely as I read to you His loving rebuke. My child he asks; have you ever wonder why your life seems like a roller coaster ride! Filled with ups and downs; fears and wonders It’s because you are forever giving yourself over to your emotions and feelings; My child please! Heed My warning! You need to trust in My word. Please understand! “feelings…. are…..not… your…. spiritual….guide”; Your emotions for the most part are NOT ruled by “My Spirit but your flesh Therefore, because of this I want you to think on what I am about to say to you and see if it rings true! You wake up and you feel sad, because it is raining. You feel hurried, because you say to yourself! “ there are just not enough hours in a day”. You get to work and you feel overwhelm, because you “think” the task is just too difficult. You feel angry, because you “think” no one appreciates all the things you do. You feel un settled because your convinced that something is just not right You feel… you feel…… you feel……. you think and think and think…….and the list goes on and on! I cannot* It’s just too hard* I am all alone* No one cares* Why me* Why not me* All these thoughts and emotions; do not included Me! your heavenly Father! Feelings My beloved and the emotions attached to them are the enemy’s number one weapon that he uses against you. To cause you to doubt My love and the plans that I have for you! IN ADDITION to all that; your feeling become your excuses Therefore, you do not do the things you need to do, because you do not feel like it! You buy things you cannot afford, because!!! it makes you feel better! You do things you know you shouldn’t do, because you have convinced yourself; it feels good! And then when you’re left to yourself you eat and eat trying to satisfy your emotional needs with food! All the while coming up empty and dry; leaving Me completely out of the equation! My dear child;… feelings are as random as the cars going by on the highway; they can easily sway you in any direction….. at any given moment. You say to yourself; I am uncomfortable because you believe that sometimes, most of the time; life is just not fair. So you purchase your ticket and take your seat and allow the ups and down of your emotions to take you on the roller coaster ride you call life. Forgetting all the while; that I came to give you life and life more abundantly. Precious child of mine you need to understand; your feelings are much like a puppy they can be trained and need to be trained, to be obedient and not run senseless throughout your day. By examining your feelings, I pray that you will be able to stop the on slot of emotions and take back your sanity. Therefore let’s be honest and take a close look at what’s going on? Ask yourself my child: What just happened to bring on this negative feeling? What thought trigger this emotion? What unmet expectation is pushing your buttons? If you learn to question your feelings; you just might be able to control them! Feelings and emotions have no true strength of their own; they are fueled by your own thoughts and beliefs. You alone can control your feelings and you alone give them their power! Feelings can be changed by changing your thoughts, your environment and making yourself happy. Feelings go hand and hand with your expectations of life. And your knowledge of who you believe I am. If you truly believe that I love you, you will win the battle of your life, however if you doubt My love you will be tossed by every wave of emotion. My child, feelings masquerade themselves as wants and needs. You doubt my love and you do not believe that I will be there for you. You do not trust that I have a purpose and a plan for your life. Therefore, you need to ask yourself, what are you feeling and deal with the emotions attached to your thoughts. Get in the habit of seeking out the why of what you are feeling; and come to Me and find rest from the emotional roller coaster that is leaving you powerless. Ask yourself do you want to be led by your emotions and your feeling or do you want to take captive your thoughts and enter into my peace. If this is your desire please pray with Me. Father; forgive me for allowing my emotions, my feeling and the power of my flesh to rule my life. Help me to take my thoughts captive and bring my emotions in line with your word. I thank you that you came to give me life and life more abundantly and as I learn to take my emotions captive, I will walk in victory! My child instead of being led by negative emotions I want you to meditate on the following until your emotions line up with My reality. The first thing you need to understand is that while you were enjoying your sin; I sent My Son to die on your behalf. All I ever wanted from you, was that you would “believe this with all your heart!” I wanted you to accept the high price paid for your salvation and receive it as my gift to you. I sent Jesus because; I did not want you to feel guilty or condemn for in Him; all your sins have been forgiven. Furthermore; there is absolutely nothing you or anyone else could ever do that would be able to remove you from the palm of MY hand or separate you from my love. You see My child; I have started a good work in you and I will see it through till the end. After all I am the author and finisher of your faith; and I will finish what I have started. Therefore be assured; I Am available for you; to give you strength when you are weak, so that you may show yourself to be strong and know that nothing is impossible for you. I want you to experience the fullness of the power that lies within; and grasp the reality that in Christ you are more than a conquer; set free from all your failures and sins and that you have the power to win over all your negative emotions! You My beloved are a new creation, no longer bound to your old ways of thinking. Your sins are forgiven and you stand before me righteous and complete; clothed in My divine nature. I chose you before the foundation of the earth; and sealed you with My precious Holy Spirit making you a joint heir with Jesus I gave you power through My Spirit that is greater than anything that could ever work against you! Yes My Spirit will always be more than enough to see you through any and all circumstances! For you are the apple of My eye. Therefore I employ you MY beloved think on these things! Hold them in your heart For in them and them alone will you find life and more over you will find the fullness of all I created you to be. and then as I sat quiet and still I felt the embrace of the father whispering once again I love you my child and I will always be here for you and in this you can rely
