Page News: Good afternoon. For the past few months this page has been growing at such a pace that it takes a lot of personal and team effort to be able to manage everything to the best of our abilities. As all our followers know who have been with us from the beginning, I made a decision a few weeks ago now to give our followers the opportunity to apply for 3 different roles which were Weather Spotters, Chasers and Photographers. It was so to keep everything fresh and also to be able to keep up with demand for you the follower and meet what it was you were asking from us when we held Q&A questioning. (Yes we did listen and the spotters were born) Well since all that happened a few weeks ago and I grew the team from 4 to 28 inclusive of me and the Co Founders I felt more was needed. So earlier this week I asked our team if anyone would be interested in stepping up as core member but following discussions with Luke and Claire yesterday I decided that I needed more than a core member and that we need a new Co Founder who has the same dedicated, knowledge, passion and leadership skills. Well I am pleased to say that Ricky Salter has accepted my offer following a telephone conversation last night and is now the new appointed Co Founder of the team. He will be working closely behind the scenes with Luke, Claire and myself learning new skills and also passing on his knowledge to us as well. We will help him all the way to get him up to speed with everything and give him as much support as possible which I am sure you will all do the same. After spending a lot of time with Ricky Friday night out on a chase and having many of conversations via PM over a short period of time he has been a spotter, I as well as the Luke and Claire personally felt he is the right mindset, grounded person for this challenging role and I feel that this is the right person even more so with working closely with him Friday night on the road. So who is Ricky, well I asked him to put a little personal profile together so you can get to know a little more about him and this is what he had to say. I am a 25 year old single full time dad to three lovely children and have a massive craving for weather, its my personal drug addiction apart from my kids. I also enjoy fishing, banger racing and mechanics. I am very easy to get along with although I can be a bit shy at times around new people but Dean and the rest of the team seem to be so easy to get along with my shyness didnt last long. My mood does change with the weather, stormy weather excited mood and become a right kid and just cant wait to get out there amongst it all. Boring calm weather, less it is spent with my kids, well whats the point of even getting out of bed... Oh I know kids packed lunches to do, breakfast and normal every day duties of a full time dad. The weather has always been a very keen interest of mine and I have always been looking for ways I can get more of a understanding of just how the mechanics of it all works then I found UK Southwest Storm Chasers FB page. I am so excited and cant wait to get working with my new fellow Co Founders and hopefully be able to bring something new and fresh to the page at the same time. Ricky.
