Pages from a mother’s diary… m… today I got morning - TopicsExpress

Pages from a mother’s diary… m… today I got morning sickness. Oh! It’s horrible. Throughout the day I suffered not feeling well. Every time I felt hungry I wanted to puke, every time I smelled something delicious I wanted to run to the washroom it made me withdraw my desires to eat like a cow. But Alhamdulillah, I can tolerate, it is all because of you my tiny little baby. Your dad cleaned the house, washed clothes and did all sort of things that I would have done on other days. I feel very sorry for him. But that’s his love, fatherhood. Oh! I forgot to tell you. On 8th of December 2008 we tried to visit your grandparents. But we couldn’t. It took more than two hours for your dad to drive a mile from home. So we came back. I had a severe backache after that. I wondered what made your dad drive so slow and then change his mind. But then your dad told he felt strange when the car bumped on uneven road. He said he had an ache in his stomach when the car constantly jerked. He called it father’s love, SubhanAllah! I felt happy when he said so. See how much he loves and cares for you. He sang a song too…happy, happy, happy…I’m the happiest and the luckiest dad in the world! *** This is the love of a father that we often neglect to talk about. It makes me sad to see people praise only the mother’s love and the sacrifices she made. Being a mother I’m not denying the truth of being more loving and being attached to the child, a mother wins the prize. But at the same time a father’s sacrifices are being unseen or unmeasured. We are to see the bonds as they are. Looking at the society and the bad things happening around we shouldn’t compare our bonds equally to the evil spirits we see. Not every man is a devil and not every woman is an angel. Good and bad both come from Human. There are evil fathers and evil mothers just because of that it is insane to blame every mother and every father. Opening up a dad’s heart is a tough job, yet get close to him. He’ll be the best friend of yours inshaAllah. If you feel it’s impossible add him in your duas, ask Allah to open the doors to your dad’s heart. It is Allah who create beautiful bonds among people.
