Paris Police Search for Robbery Suspect Paris, Tenn.- A report at the Paris Police Department stated that officers responded to John Lee Drive Sunday afternoon after a resident called to report a robbery that occurred Saturday night. The report said the power went out at the home and the women opened her back door to see what was going on outside and a man with a t-shirt pulled over his head forced his way into the home. The report said she described the man as medium height and a little on the heavy side. The report said it sounded like a black man talking, but that he forced her to get on the ground and close her eyes and he told her he was white. The suspect asked the woman where the money was and she told him her purse. He found the purse in the dark and took her phone, some cash, and other items. He also took her home phone. The next morning, the woman went outside and found the main breaker had been shut off, causing her power outage. Officers asked why she didn’t report the robbery earlier and she said she felt embarrassed after just reported a robbery a few weeks ago.
