Part 127 The story of Rose Ann and her friends Back at the hospital, Rose Ann has just finished with her surgery and everything went great. However she is still is a medical induced coma. The surgeon walks out to talk with her parents. When the surgeon arrived in the waiting room, half of her school appeared to be in there. Destiny was crying and setting with Ms. Bradley and Nellie holding hands. The surgeon pulls Rose Anns parents off to a room alone. They set down at a table and he tells them that Rose Ann is going to be fine. The recovery is going to be hard. She will remain in a medical induced comma until the swelling of the brain goes down. Her mother says in a frantic tone, “Oh my gosh, how long will that be?” He answers with “Probably a week or so.” He then goes on to say, “She will need some physical therapy as well. Some time to regain some of her motor skills and perhaps her speech. However I do believe her memory shouldn’t be altered, but we won’t know that yet. Her Mom begins to sob and mutter out words, “Are you saying she might not remember us?” The surgeon said, “Well I don’t think that will be the case, but she may forget a few things. I’m not sure about that though. The recovery will be tough but the great news is your daughter is going to be just fine.” The meeting ends and her parents go out to share with the students and school staff that are patiently waiting for the news. They come out and explain to everyone what the doctors said to them. Everyone gathers with joy to hug her parents. People start gradually leaving the hospital, because Rose Ann will have no visitors until she walks up.
