By popular demand , this two part recipe will provide you with step by step directions on preparing one of the most sought after delicacies during the holiday period. Its labor intensive so you may wish to recruit some family members/ friends who will donate their time and energies. Of course a serving of rice and beans with one of these pies as a Thank You may help bring extra help...lol There are so many variations that you may wish to modify this basic recipe. You may substitute beef, chicken or even shrimp instead of the pork. Regardless, this delicious delight is worth the extra efforts for your family & friends. Make sure you add enough meat to each pie...otherwise as my Popi told me last year Mira hijo, son Ciego ...very little meat. ..lol . But he had seconds so they must of been good.
