Pau Gasol is out with back tightness, may not play in Thursdays - TopicsExpress

Pau Gasol is out with back tightness, may not play in Thursdays game against the Atlanta Hawks. I just hope he doesnt become injury-prone this upcoming NBA Season, because we really need him out there. I was interested reading the piece by Doug Padilla on ESPN. I found it interesting that the same issues that I said the Bulls had, Thibs said the same thing in that Piece. You can find that article on this board, the link about Paus back. I agree with Thibs, but all I was saying is to confront your players face to face, and not to the media, because it will cause a lot of negative media attention, and drama. Once again, I agree with what he had to say, and I have been saying that for many years. We all know that the Bulls have the capabilities to win, but I have felt for years that their focus, drive, and hunger, are not as good as they should be. How hungry are they to win? And by wanting to win I dont mean meaningless regular season games and second round playoff exits, Im talking the Finals and NBA title. Anybody can say they want to win, but it takes a lot of work to be better than everyone else. Are they willing to go all out to be the best in the end, and are they taking extra time to go in the gym and be as perfect as a team as possible? So far on this team I can only pick two guys that play like they want to win, their words match their actions: Jimmy Butler and Joakim Noah. Everybody else feels like playing this night, dont this night. Those two will do anything to win, and I love both of them for that. The rest of the Bulls players need to take notes, because the way those two play is the way that you are suppose to approach an NBA game and season. I have always had the theory that it doesnt matter how much talent you have; talent is only part of it, you also have to want to win more than anything.
