Paul demonstrates a very important lesson that all Christians can benefit from in Acts 16:1-5. We often have a skewed opinion on compromise that comes from religion that divides the body of Christ. We have one mission and that is to spread the salvation message. Some are limited in doing that because of the wrong teaching and wrong heart. Paul was the chief spokesman for salvation through faith and grace. He had Timothy, the half Jewish and half Greek circumcised so that he could travel with him. Why? So that he could take him into the synagogues with him. This act was not a compromise, but a christian courtesy. It was a mature recognition that social, cultural and religious differences should never be more important than speeding the message. This is backed up in 1 Corinthians 19-23. Are you free from rigid constraint? Without violating biblical morals we should be willing to go to ant length to enter into the world of others and lead them to Christ. What hinders you?
