Peace is not often the absence of a storm. It is the ability to retain tranquillity in the middle of the storm. Jesus told us to build with the storm in view, not to ignore it. If the storm is not in your view, you would build your house on the sand, because there wouldnt be a need to stress yourself in the rigours of laying foundations on the Rock. (Meditating, fasting, praying, repenting, & obeying GOD, doing what HE asks per time) The Bible says; For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 1 Thess.5:3 Faith isnt living in denial of the facts. Faith isnt being insensitive or oblivious to the realities on ground. Faith is not the absence of fear either. Without genuine reason to be afraid, theres no cause for genuine faith. Faith is trusting GOD, taking HIM at HIS word, and doing what we must even in the face of our fears. Abraham the father of faith wasnt without his doubts and fears, the difference between him and a lot of us is that he wasnt ruled by his doubts, and he eventually didnt succumb to his fears. He didnt live in denial, or ignorance of the facts around him. He knew exactly what was at stake, hence he faithed against faith, and hoped against all hopes lost...till Abram became Abraham. READ YOUR BIBLE, MEDITATE, PRAY, & OBEY GOD...Kuorire
