People I want to thank #3 Kevin Raygor - Kevin was odd to say the least...seriously overweight, in a wheel chair...which he admitted was largely due to his own fault....frequently lacking in diplomacy. But Kevin was honest, he was transparent(which often makes people uncomfortable) and he cared deeply for the hurting. He got a lot of his food from food banks and then turned right around and gave it to people who were worse off than he was. When we moved to Texas, after 11 years in Florida, he was one of the only people to keep in contact with me. I dont say that to make anyone feel bad, it is the nature of our society...we are all busy just trying to make it, but he took the time to contact me 2-3 times a week. The more I learned about him, the more I appreciated him. Glenn Gordon - he is hard nosed, with an attitude to match.....but he is the most teachable person. If he believed you genuinely cared about him you could hit him with a verbal 2x4 and he would receive it. He is a loyal friend to anyone he believesias a friend.....and he is crazy in love with his daughter. In so many ways he is a walking miracle Jim Gardner - met Jim at CCWC...it was actually more a business relation at first. But Jim was quietly working with the homeless in NPR. Just doing what he could do to share the love of God .Then I got to share with Jim, and Linda, my passion for missions and they started in the bible school....and the next thing I know they are talking to me about going to India to work with Christ for India. To be honest I didnt know if they would make it, with the heat and other challenges. But the more I listened, the more I watched the calm assurance in his eyes....God is good. So Linda and Jim head off to India, they are a real blessing and the next thing you hear Jim has cancer....Never heard him blame God, or lose faith, or pity himself.....just watched him, and Linda, bring glory to God every step of the way!!! I so want to honor both of them. Linda is back in India still being a blessing...what an amazing couple!!
