People: IK and TUQ Pakistan ka image khrab kar rahay hein. Protestors ka PM House claim karna ye prove kar raha hai k yahan bari weak democracy hai or itnay sacred institutions bhi safe nahi hein. Me: Errr what image? The image according to which the PM tells blatant lies to the world? Where he is oblivious to the voice of 25k people as if they werent Pakistani citizens? Where the PM is morally so corrupt and so power hungry that he cant resign despite all the pressure? Where massive rigging in elections makes its way to the media? Where Army dictators promise to hold an election right after they dismiss the democratic government but that doesnt happen for 8-10 years? Where kids are killed by angry mobs right in the middle of street and are later staged as thugs? Where people get killed in broad daylight by religious fanatics? Where minorities see their houses burning right in front of there eyes? Where trials get prolonged for decades and still nobody gets justice? Where polio workers are murdered and no one bats an eye? What image I say? What image are we so worried about? If such ineffective parliamentarians are murdered by mobs, I dont know about you but Id rather feel smug about it. Call me inhuman or whatever may float your boat. Just my two cents.
