YOU CANT ESCAPE REALITY. QUOTE OF THE DAY: “YOU CAN’T IMPROVE YOURSELF IF YOU ARE KIDDING YOURSELF” ANCHOR TEXT: “But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil” Hebrews 5:14. It is reality that creates a foundation for growth. Apparent escape from reality might give you temporary relief from problems, but that does not give a sustainable foundation. What is reality? It is the truth that is undisputable and uncompromisable about a circumstance or a situation at hand. These realities of life sometimes are hard to face. However, there are no better options. The earlier one comes to terms with realities of life the better. There is a limit to how far you can go or do exploits if you are the type that dodges reality. Each life’s circumstance has its own peculiar reality, and there are general realities. For instance, you cannot go far in marriage if you are not ready to face the realities of marital commitments. It will be pretty difficult if not outrightly impossible to reach the top of your career if you cannot come to terms with those realities associated with it. There are realities of life that, you cannot but come to terms with. First, nothing worth having comes without effort. Life is not bread and butter; it is not a bed of roses. You have to put in some efforts to be able to get something out of it. Once you accept this fact, it will prepare your mind and help you to grow. Second, to play away one’s youthful and productive years is to suffer at old age. Third, the ultimate reality of life is that it ends in death. Coming to terms with these will enable you live your life cautiously, and to prepare yourself for the kingdom of God. According to Hebrews 6:1, Paul was actually saying: ‘we should put aside fantasies, pseudo impressions or anything that cannot sustain you when challenges of life come or whatever will make you feeble-minded and run after the reality that will make us grow and be established. Of a truth, it is only the truth that can give us the right perspective of life. No matter how long you have been dodging reality, a time will definitely come in your life, when that reality will forcefully dawn on you. I pray it will not be too late for you. The grace of God that turns things around for the better will come on you now in Jesus name. Do enjoy your day.
