People are mostly shocked when I tell them I dont like football or follow any other sports for that matter. In the past, Ive tried to tell them I wasnt raised in a household that was into sports; East Coast Buddhists with a penchant for being book nerds seldom are, and theres the fact that I actually hate jocks and that whole mentality. A meathead in a team jersey talking about being patriotic in one breath and then rambling about his/her love for Jesus in the next may be the ideal all American version of the perfect citizen, but to me, its just everything horrible about this country wrapped up into one tidy little package, and thats not to say my friends who follow football or any other sports are meatheads. I have plenty of atheist/anarchist friends who enjoy sports; its just not part of my interests. However, Im done with the long winded explanations of why I dont spend my free time following football on Sundays and Monday and Thursday night. The next time someone asks me why I dont like football, Im just going to tell them, Football? No Im not gay enough to like football. When I learn to love the cock, Ill pick a team.
