People often reflect about the special day on which they were born. My birth occurred on this day, the feast of Saints Peter and Paul. It certainly gives credence to the thought: saints who were once sinners. Yes, they are good examples of forgoing the past to serve The Lord now, and always. Some have epiphanies and change; some grow into Christian maturity. The bottom line remains: our lives are the Lords, and not our own. May all who follow the way of Christ be strengthened in their resolve by the grace of the Holy Spirit, who promises the power to love others, to forgive others, to be filled with wisdom, to show mercy and compassion. Peter and Paul suffered greatly for the Kingdom. Pray for us who choose to live our lives in Christ.
