People responsible for Gool carnage should not be spared: Mir => Describing the Ramban incident as the most unfortunate, Minister for Tourism Ghulam Ahmed Mir Sunday said that those involved in the carnage should be given exemplary punishment. “It is for the first time that soon after the incident Union Home Minister ordered inquiry for an impartial probe. Once the probe would be over, culprits will be booked for their heinous crime,” Mir told CNS adding that such incidents badly affect the tourism industry in Valley. Appealing people not to damage public property during protests, Mir said that police is investigating the incident that occurred in Qazigund a few days ago. “Some people damaged tourist property there and whosoever did it would face the music,” he said. Mir said that the Tourism Department is soon going to implement the orders of High Court and no one would be allowed to go for constructions in and around Nallah Liddar in Pahalgam. “There are clear cut directions from the Court that nobody should be permitted to construct any kind of structure near Nallah Liddar in Pahalgam and the Ministry is soon going to implement that order,”he said. While replying to a question, the Minister for Tourism said that it is absolutely absurd to believe that government is visible nowhere. “Government is doing its job. It is unfortunate that people are not aware about the developments that are taking place in the State of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said adding that Congress party is right now focusing on Parliament and Assembly elections and hopefully the party would come off with flying colours in these polls.
