People talk about the search for truth. But what do they mean? If they don’t know what truth looks like, how can they find it? They wouldn’t recognize it even if they fell over it. How can you find something if you don’t know what it is? How could the police search for a lost person without identification? The Bible doesn’t talk about truth as if it floated around in the sky somewhere. It only handles things that can be handled - realities. In fact when it uses the word “truth” it puts it the other way round – the Bible word for “truth” is also the word for “real”. If it’s true, it’s real. We can say “Hello truth-seekers, we have found the TRUTH in Jesus Christ, who said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Me.” The moment you do, your search is over; you have arrived.
