People who un-friend you because your opinions differ from theirs are especially heinous. How DARE you not agree with EVERYTHING I think? Facebook is for open discourse on a vast array of subjects, and its disturbing to see stubbornness and selfishness reign rather than the openness to embrace differences. I honestly could not care less whether I remain electronically connected to that many people, but what scares me is ignorance to the mere existence of others opinions and, worse yet, the desire to convince others to agree with you at the risk of losing a friendship. Maybe your beliefs arent the pinnacle of intellectual achievement. Has THAT ever crossed your mind?
