...People will fail you, but God NEVER will!...Because crowds are often fickle, there must be a higher moral code to follow than the pleasure of the majority. Following the moral principles given in Gods Word will help you avoid being swayed by the popular opinions of the crowd, your family, friends, co-workers, etc. We see in 2 Samuel 19:9-39 even though David was banished as king, he had a triumphant return, just as Christ will have. When God has called and anointed you, you may endure hardships. People that are close to you may even turn their back on you, but Gods purpose in your life will be fulfilled in the timing of the Father. Do not harbor hurts and disappointments, but trust that God will move on your behalf (The Ancient Path Devo.)...Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many. Hebrews 12:15...Bitterness usually starts peeking up out of the depths of our souls in the form of negative thoughts about another person. Are you constantly saying something derogatory about someone else. If the root of bitterness is not quickly uprooted and removed, that bitterness will eventually become a full-blown tree that produces bitter, wounding, hurtful, and scornful fruit for everyone who eats of it. What you allowed to take root and to fester inside your soul has now become a major nuisance to your peace...You need to get a grip on yourself and let the Holy Spirit help you permanently rid yourself of these feelings; otherwise, youll end up troubled, annoyed, and terribly upset. You ll lose your peace, forfeit your joy, and toss aside your victory. Dont take this path, it is too painful, too hurtful and costs you to much in your walk with God. The Holy Spirit is willing, ready, and waiting to help you grab hold of those roots of bitterness and pull them clear out of your life! Will you ask today? We are to speak well of those who offend and hurt us. Replace those negative feelings with love and forgiveness! (Sparkling Gems)...
