Perhaps so-called liberals dont discount the values of loyalty, - TopicsExpress

Perhaps so-called liberals dont discount the values of loyalty, authority and sanctity, so much as redirect them based on a wider-framed, more fully contextualized, worldview. Personally, I feel a tremendous loyalty toward my home planet. I revere the whole of the living field in which I play. I do not limit my sense of loyalty to a single family, or a tribe, or a nation, or an ethnic culture or a religious persuasion; I feel in the entirety of my body an undying love for the WHOLE of life itself. I also honor the highest authority that arises from WITHIN, as I develop a deeper, surer sense of who I am, and realize more and more how Im fully interconnected with the whole of life. I grant myself the moral authority to activate the highest drives, capacities and passions that live within me, and to direct the bulk of my energy and consciousness toward serving the living whole of reality for the benefit of ALL life. As for sanctity, I perceive the whole of reality as sacred. I find nothing profane. I believe that in our ignorance we humans falsely divided the whole of reality into sacred and profane; good and evil...when in truth, all evil actions, all suffering, arises out of our ignorance of the wonder and majesty of the astonishing, living, intelligent and loving unified field we are IN. Thats how I see it, anyhow. The conservatives I know have very strong values; they simply seem to limit them in scope by using them solely at the group level instead of practicing them at the universal level. By so doing, we create artificial separations from one another that must then be defended...by force, if need be. That self-limiting approach appears to lie at the root of all human fighting...and I, for one, am WEARY of this war. As I expand in love for all...the need to fight for anything disappears.
