Perhaps, we need to ensure the viability of sled dogs in business. I know very respected people who have a team of sled dogs but not the numbers represented here. Utilizing sled dogs for business has to be well thought out. Unless you are committed to these dogs until their last days then you should not be permitted to harness them up & profit from them. Thankfully, the business owner in this situation sought help for his dogs. Now the Vancouver Humane Society has these gorgeous dogs up for adoption I also believe that those who have sled dogs within our First Nations communities in Canada not only view these dogs as transportation & members of their family but an intricate bridge to their ancestry & heritage. They are not treated as a liability, nor disposed of when no longer considered an asset. Please Adopt!
