Perseverance The reason I was hired for job early out of college. I was on my way to the interview when uncommon (at least to me) warning light came on on my dashboard. I remember thinking, I can check on this after my interview. I would be late if I were to stop now Only a few minutes later white smoke POURED from the hood and the car was finished. Although dangerous, I took the risk and hitchhiked to the tv station where I had applied for the job. Got the job. Was told several weeks later the only reason I got it was because of my perseverance. (the car never ran again. I cracked a head on the engine beyond repair) Perseverance Just as the warning light came on in that car years ago, Ive had internal warnings flashing for a couple years now, trying to get me to pull over and take care of ME but I was stubborn and kept pressing on to continue down the path I was on. (my husband says I cracked another head lol - funny now, but it wasnt.) I had ignored all warning signs and driven myself too far and too hard. When I finally pulled over to take inventory on the damage and begin to repair and renew, it was significantly more than I had realized. 9 weeks of pretty much being parked - still, silent and alone - very long days - and Im still slow to get moving again. Perseverance Perseverance is what keeps me determined to press on when Im not sure I am going to make the destination (or how much longer I can go until I do.) Perseverance (and ofcourse faith) is what keeps me going no matter how many detours or pit stops. I will respond to the flashing lights and warning signs, but I will never give up! My perseverance is driven by my purpose - a gift I can offer in my own special way, not by my design, but by the Creator of all the living. As is evident in the world today - spirit lifting is needed by ALL. When I take care of my own (through the Hands of God and legacy of my daughter) I can lift the spirit of others!!!
