Perseverance does not prohibit us from getting help. In fact, asking for help demonstrates courage and strength and not weakness and cowardice. Failure to ask for help illuminates a prideful and egotistical heart which causes failure. Visualize Jesus Christ trying to carry that rugged cross up the hill to Golgotha after he had been horribly beaten. In spite of his struggle he persevered. The soldiers forced a man name Simon to help him (Matthew 27:32). Jesus could have refused help but he did not. We do what we must in the will of God to keep going and not quit.
