The store has been in our family since 1975. We accept most major insurances. We offer traditional and specialty packaging options for patients. We have local delivery for seniors 3 days a week. As part of the prescription filling process we complete medication reviews to identify any potential medication interactions. We also provide full prescription counseling services; which could be anything from answering a question to showing a patient how to use a new device. We have fax and copy services. We carry a wide selection of over the counter medications and personal care products. If a customer is looking for a medication or product that we do not have on hand, we can order it for the next business day. We have a very loyal customer base in the St. Marks neighborhood. What separates us from the larger chain pharmacies is our ability to provide much more personalized and friendly service. We are also convenient to public transit, less than 5 minute walk from Shawmut Station on the Red Line, and the 18 Bus which runs on Dorchester Ave. We accept all major credit/debit cards. Its a locally organized event to encourage people to spend some small amount at a specific business at a certain time - and the aim is to support locally owned businesses. The spirit behind a Cash Mob is to push a lot of revenue into local businesses, who may not be well-known, at one time. It is not to overwhelm them - which is why you can show up anytime on a designated date and say youre a part of the mob. The last thing we want to do, as consumers, is to truly mob a store or restaurant to the point of the owner not being able to run it effectively. We think its important to spend money at local businesses in our neighborhood. When you spend $100 at a locally owned business, $73 stays local, versus, when you spend $100 at a non-locally owned business, only $43 stays local.
