Petra Kaufmann, M.D., M.Sc., has been named director of NCATS’ Division of Clinical Innovation, effective May 4, 2014. Kaufmann’s new role will include overseeing the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (#CTSA) program with the aim of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the translational process from scientific discovery to improved health outcomes.
