Phil was right( dont tell him!) I am being squeezed and prodded and getting minimal sleep , but staff is really nice. And I love playing with the bed controls. Downside is I am so happy to be able to talk and to be alive. My dad was my age when he died ( at the same hospital). That was playing in my psyche more than I realized. Still need to hear back from the lab but so glad to have had my throat cleared. My thyroid was super small and growing around my windpipe , my swallowing and speaking (ulimately breathing) was being impaired.. No longer, have a growth almost the size of a ping pong ball - and it had friends. I was so worried about vocal injury( a prior operation in 94 left me speechless for several months. So relieved , however have been told to not overdue it, pain meds are working so take it easy on my vocals. Its true, I have plenty of time to put my foot in my mouth. Thanks for all the love, keep it coming. My next challenge? Not to overdue it. Me? Xoxox
