Phylicia Rae Jimenez challenged me to post my testimony on the ward page. I am new to the ward and would love to get to know more of you. Luckily my husband and I are speaking tomorrow in sacrament and Ill be able to share my full testimony of the restored gospel. But something that has been on my mind lately is forgiveness ad kindness Elder Joe J. Christiansen encouraged, Dont be too critical of each others faults. Recognize that none of us is perfect...Ceaseless pinpricking can deflate almost any [relationship]. Generally, each of us is painfully aware of our weaknesses, and we dont need frequent reminders. Few people have ever changed for the better as a result of constant criticism or nagging. Also we are taught in the scriptures, And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christs sake hath forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:32) I know that it is with this same kindness and forgiveness that Christ and Heavenly Father love us unconditionally. I also know that as we interact with others and most importantly our family that these qualities (while hard to master) result in a joyful life where we can reach our highest potential. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to become more like my Savior and Redeemer through repentance. I know that He lives and loves me. I am excited for tomorrow and I hope you are as well!
