Plain and simple: educated people or at least rational people consider data, facts, basically statistics and most importantly history and trends. When you look at the evidence, you objectively draw conclusions and you present these hypothesis in a manner of conversation or in writing. Well, based on all that; if you apply it to say the New York Giants, you will find that they are among the more favorable teams to represent not necessarily because of their standings this year but because of their achievements in prior years, if you know it, remember it, or watched a history on them, making History, like with the time, U.S. Troops were in Kuwait, it made World History, it was an event televised for the troops over there. So, based on just a few of the aspects I mentioned earlier, why would someone make a rational decision to like a football team, that had never won a Super Bowl other that it was their forefathers hope that they would be victorious... a dream never coming to light in neither theirs or yours generation? And thats all I have to say about that.
