Plan Myanmar - Job Advertisement - Finance and Admin Officer in Kachin Plan is an international humanitarian, child centred development organisation, implementing development programs that promote the realisation and fulfilment of children’s rights and the alleviation of child poverty. Position: Finance and Admin officer in an Emergency Assignment Type: Six months contract with possibility of extension. Closing date for applications: September 20, 2013, at 5pm Job background: The Finance and Admin Officer will be the main focal point in the area of Finance and administration. He/She will provide support to the Program and overall project needs in a timely, effective and accountable manner.This position is based full-time in Myitkyina, Kachin. The Finance and Admin will directly report to the Emergency Response Manager and full coordination with the Finance Manager and Admin Officer based in Yangon. Job purpose: The Finance and Admin will be responsible for the following: *Assist in day-today human resources, administration/procurement support and finance related support *Able to provide a effecient support to the Project by ensuring that funding is available at all times * Able to assists the Logistic Officer in the procurement process and managene the supplies and movement of goods * Monitor and maintain supplies inventory * Liaise with the Emergency Response Manager and Project staff * Manage and assist to staff’s work related travel arrangement such as transportation, accommodation in a timely manner * Prepare financial reports/requisitions and submit to supervisor for approval * Inform line supervisor about any financial issues promptly as they arise, and provide constructive solutions *Perform other duties as assigned by Emergency Response Manager Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Citizen of Myanmar • Minimum of three years of demonstrated professional experience in finance and administration management, preferably with an INGO • Has experience working in an emergency situation • Willing to be assigned in kachin during the entire project period • Able to speak Kachin language both oral and written • Able to work as a part of a team • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a very busy situtation How to apply: Interested candidates who meet the above requirements are required to submit, in English, a cover letter, CV and details of at least 2 referees via E-mail only to: [email protected] Reference & background checks will be performed for successful candidates including clearances on child related offences in conformity with Plan’s Child Protection Policy.
