Playing tonight in Maryville, Tennessee -- www brackinsbluesclub Im excited to be there and see some of my Tennessee friends. Had a blast at Stan Streets hambone gallery in Clarksdale. Being greeted by Watermelon Slim singing and picking on the sidewalk is pretty amazing. Slim took me out for ice cream in OKC once in his dapper 3 pc. suit and created instant fun everywhere we went. Hes like cup o crazy soul noodles - just add bourbon. I love the hambone gallery and Stan is such a great painter. He has done the posters for the Notodden Blues Fest as well as many other record covers and his wife Dixie is a great drummer. He sat in on harp, as did Richard Rosenblatt . Next we went to Ground Zero and ran into Henrietta and Charlie Musselwhite. They too, own property in Clarksdale. After Tennessee, its on to Atlanta and Sister Louisas Church of the Living Room and Ping Pong Emporium. Cant wait to see Grant Henry and Michael Michael Benoit and Kristen Benoit of the Vortex Bar and Grill and the Boneyard Cantina. Love to travel as much as I can. So grateful for each note...
