Plea: The Byron E Taylor Christian Servic Center is gearing up for the Holiday season. We are in need of monetary donations to be used for Christmas Baskets for the Elderly and disabled. We will start taking those applications Dec 2nd. We are in need of funding for Christmas gifts for children. Our goal is to be able to provide a new hat, gloves, pkg of socks, a blanket and maybe some small gift for every child. * We are working in cooperation with other organizations who will be providing assistance for Christmas. Those who have applied elswhere will not be recieving assistance from The Center. We will be starting our Smitten for Mittens campagne starting November 19th and it will run thru December 19th. * We will be selling paper mittens (which will be displayed at the store) for $1.00 each. All proceeds will go to purchase new gloves and hats for the needy. We are also in need of heaters, heavy blankets, and coats for needy individuals. We always need pantry donations.
