Plea for dismissal on the groundsL a) it is obviously harassment; a serious defamation suit would be for tons of money; b) defamation requires the ability to prove the plaintiff KNEW the statements were false and made them with intent to harm - you need only illustrate a reasonable basis for BELIEF they were true; c) (possible) plaintiff must show proof of specific financial harms for the sum claimed - if he did not, ask for dismissal on that basis as well (you cite as many reasons as possible for dismissal). THEN file a counter suit for Defamation per se of you and Cop Block, which does NOT require you prove any basis for specific dollar amounts, and would allow you to ask for tens, hundreds of thousands, even millions of dollars in damage - simply illustrating the false nature of the suit against you has damaged the reputation of Cop Block by default associations inherent in the suit, and the fact that it is now PUBLIC RECORD. By all means, consult a lawyer, but Ive used this successfully handling it pro se (no lawyer).
