Please, before you come to this meeting, do your research and read about our new commissioners. They are an exceptional group of people who are on this commission because they care about animals. Lets work with them, educate them on the problems this city is facing and help them untangle the mess this dept. has made over the years. Their mission (read the link) is to guide LAAS on policy. We are the constituents and we are the taxpayers who provide the funds to run this government agency. It is up to us to help this commission lead the agency with effective policies that reflect the needs of our citys homeless animals and the desires of the citys animal protection and rescue community. Dont come to this meeting to yell and scream but to effectively and calmly ask for certain goals to be met: ENFORCEMENT and Signage in all parks & vet clinics about selling animals illegally, breeding illegally, about S/N. We will get to all of the issues in time but this is a start. Let it be focussed and lets be professional. It is time to take back OUR LAAS. The commission is here to help. Give them a chance and give them the power of your voice. This agency belongs to the public and we are the public.
