Please feel free to share. MI Alliance for Families is expanding its coverage in the northern Lower Peninsula. We are currently looking to hire four part-time (24 hrs per wk) Regional Parent Mentors, one from each of the following areas of the state: Greater Traverse Bay Area which includes Leelanau, Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Manistee, Wexford and Missaukee counties. Western MI which includes Mason, Lake, Oceana, Muskegon, and Newaygo counties. COOR Area and north which includes Emmet, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Presque Isle, Otsego, Montmorency, Alpena, Crawford, Oscoda, Alcona, Roscommon, Ogemaw and Iosco counties. Mid Michigan which includes Osceola, Clare, Gladwin, Mecosta, Isabella, Gratiot and Midland counties. Requirements Regional Parent Mentors must have a child or close family member with a disability who is or has received early intervention or special education services, strong connections to community resources, leadership experience, excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills as well as experience working on boards or committees.
