Please fill this out to help support the pros! If youre curious about my position, here it is: Ill leave out any comment about total prize money. Currently the money is split half/half M/F, while some think this is a huge leap in equality for sports, I see 2 to 4 times as many men competing for the same prize purse as women. Even becoming a pro as a woman is easier since you need to get top 3 in a race out of half as many participants as the guys. So my thought: Equality should be equal proportions of money to participation. (An exception for world championship events, leave those equal since that is the best of the best in both genders.) It would be good to vary the prize purses at different races. Then the best pros race against the best for the most money, and low level pros race against one another for less money. Having many races at the same purse diffuses the competition too much. I would like to see race organizers work more closely with the pros, so that they may promote each other in conjunction. PPD Beach2Battleship did great; Ironman Chattanooga sucked at this aspect. AGrs have respect for pros, and would benefit from anything that allows them to interact more. It would be nice if race organizations helped to facilitate this.
